Little Butter Balls

Little Butter Balls - Feature

This is my kind of cookie! I’m not sure why it took me so long to make these Little Butter Balls, but I’m sure glad I finally did! There is just something about butter, brown sugar, and vanilla…I LOVE IT! Add a nut on top and you’ve got perfect Little Butter Balls cookies!

I’m rating Little Butter Balls 2-stars for cookie difficulty only because of the multiple steps involved.Little Butter Balls are easy and fun to make! The dough is easy to form into the little dough balls and then roll in the sugar.

I was able to pull my ingredients together quickly and get started mixing everything together.

I mentioned above that I love butter, brown sugar, and vanilla…add a flour and an egg and you have a perfect cookie dough…to EAT! ? I love the baked cookies for sure, but I have to admit that I love the cookie dough even more. My secret obsession for sure!

Once the dough was all mixed together, I covered it with plastic wrap and stuck it in the refrigerator for about an hour to chill thoroughly as the recipe says.

The dough was a perfect consistency for rolling into little balls. I tried my best to keep the balls consistent in size, about 1/2 to 1-inch round.

Next, I rolled the dough balls in sugar and placed them on a lightly greased cookie sheet.

Finally, I placed a nutmeat on top. The recipe doesn’t specify which type of nut to use. I decided to use walnuts this time.  Isn’t this a beautiful picture?!?!

I’m ready to bake!

The cookies puffed up and spread a little while baking. I was pleasantly surprised that the walnut stayed right in the middle of the cookies and they spread into nice round shapes!

The cookies were easy to remove from the cookie sheet. Don’t they look great!

What a great looking cookie! Golden brown with a nut perfectly placed in the middle.

I tired to be consistent and roll 1-inch dough balls…doing this gave me over 9 dozen cookies! I’m so glad because these cookies are awesome! They have that wonderful butter, brown sugar, and vanilla flavors that work perfect with the nut on top!

Little Butter Balls are a crunchy, sweet, nutty cookie that are easy to make and will fill your cookie jar right up to the top!

Little Butter Balls are a winner cookie that everyone will love!
