Angel Cookies
Ingredients
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 cup shortening (butter)
1 egg
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
½ tsp salt
2 cups flour
1 tsp almond flavoring
Instructions
Cream shortening with sugar and egg. Beat well. Add other ingredients and mix well. Roll into small balls. Dip each ball half way in water then sugar, to form a glaze. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets in 350-degree oven for 10 – 12 minutes. These cookies will flatten out and spread.
