Scotch Toffies

Ingredients

2 cups quick cooking oats
1/3 cup melted butter
½ cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
¼ cup dark corn syurp
½ tsp salk
1 ½ tsp vanilla
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate bits
½ cup nutmeats

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in order given and press into an 8×8 or 9×9 inch greased pan. Base at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut into squares while warm. Dust with confectioners’ sugar if desired.
